Georgina Vinsun is a young British fine art painter who paints colourful Romantic abstracts in oil on canvas. Filled with depth and detail, the paintings are all inspired by the awesomeness of nature, in particular, the sky. Alongside her passion for the awesomeness of nature, sits a deep-seated passion for spontaneity and expression, which finds its form in the brush marks and spiralling, gestural lines that come to rest on top of the soft, atmospheric veils of colour which make up the body of her paintings.
“You won’t forget how much you loved, because love is not something easily forgotten. You won’t forget how hurt you felt, or how betrayed, or how alone. You won’t forget your promise to not feel hurt and betrayed and alone again. You won’t forget goodbye.”
“And the sun and the moon sometimes argue over who will tuck me in at night. If you think I am having more fun than anyone on this planet, you are absolutely correct.”
― Hafez
“The barista should be a respected craftsperson, like a sommelier or a pastry chef. We want the consumer to understand that the difference between a cappuccino served by a national barista champion like Matt Riddle versus one served by a high school kid in a green apron making six bucks an hour is like night and day.”
“The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.
Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere.
They’re in each other all along.”
“The Sufi is rebellious because the Sufi has seen it. And naturally he will always find it difficult to explain it to people. That’s why Sufis don’t believe in explanations. If you go to a Sufi he starts giving you methods, not doctrines. That’s why they are called the people of the path. They give you a method. They say, heart, opens your being, you will know. ’ They will not give you a single doctrine, a single principle — they have none. They have only methodology. It is very scientific. They give you the taste. It is hard, arduous work.”
